Looks like the Honda EM1 e scooter could be heading for China is already there. I just need to check with a friend if this is true. They're cracking down on scooter rules there now so this might be just what they need. Plus it's already sold there as the U-BE or U-GO. I wonder if they'll make changes for the Chinese market. Or is this just a way to get rid of stocks?

Wouldn’t be surprised if this is just Honda dumping excess stock into the Chinese market. The EM1 e isn’t exactly groundbreaking, and with China’s crackdown on scooters, it might only sell if they make serious changes. If it’s just a rebranded U-BE/U-GO with no upgrades, it’s not going to stand out in a market flooded with better local options.

That said, if Honda tweaks it for local regulations, it could work. But let’s be real, China’s domestic brands are miles ahead in the e-scooter game, so Honda’s either playing catch-up or just trying to offload inventory.
